RestaurantData’s Restaurant Enterprise Index
™
now includes 430 public company profiles across the United States and Canada. Alongside that expansion, the company is introducing Restaurant Vector
™
, which follows selected brands through dated development records and supporting location research.

The combination gives readers three connected views: the organization behind a restaurant system, selected recent location activity and the longer history of a brand’s documented expansion.

Company profile

Organization represented

Headquarters

California Pizza Kitchen

Restaurant brand

Costa Mesa, California

Torchy’s Tacos

Restaurant brand

Austin, Texas

Cotti Foods

Franchise operator

Rancho Santa Margarita, California

Streetlight Ventures

Multi-concept operator

Andover, Massachusetts

Cotti Foods operates Taco Bell and Wendy’s restaurants under franchise agreements. Streetlight Ventures brings multiple restaurant concepts into an operating platform while maintaining their individual identities. Identifying the organization associated with a restaurant helps suppliers and researchers define an account’s scope and examine its business relationships.

The 430-profile count measures published company coverage. Related brand, operator and parent profiles can refer to overlapping restaurant locations, so their location totals require interpretation within the company hierarchy.

A historical view alongside the company profile

Restaurant Vector follows an individual restaurant brand or concept. It brings together historical development records and researched opening years to show where documented activity clusters and geographic reach broadens. Available histories appear within selected REI profiles; the current enterprise footprint remains in each profile’s Enterprise Snapshot.

Sources include filings, licenses, permits, local publications and archived development reports, supported by location-history research. Each profile’s legend distinguishes its source histories and research period.

Chicken Salad Chick: development across multiple states

Chicken Salad Chick’s published Vector identifies a 2016–2017 concentration followed by wider state reach in 2018–2019. The latter window contains 50+ selected opening signals across 10+ states. A later 2024–2025 window records 70+ signals across 15+ states, with additional evidence extending into 2026.

McAlister’s Deli: a longer development trail

McAlister’s Deli’s selected history starts with an August 2000 development record in Greenville, South Carolina. Its 2007–2009 and 2016–2018 windows each span 15+ states with signals, with 20+ and 60+ signals respectively. The profile identifies the 2024–2026 arc as still developing, reflecting the ongoing work of extending the evidence trail.

These histories describe selected development evidence. Signals can identify projects before an opening, while researched opening years add retrospective location context. Neither the arc’s height nor its signal bands represent complete opening totals or net unit growth. Documentation also varies by jurisdiction and period.

Connecting historical context with recent site activity

The same company profile can also connect readers to a dated current project. An October 9 RestaurantPipeline record for Chicken Salad Chick in Canton, Georgia, Cherokee County , recorded a projected October 2026 opening. That was the timing documented in the research cut; projected dates can change.

For suppliers and sales teams, a dated site record can focus an immediate conversation, while the company profile clarifies the associated organization. For investors and advisers, the historical trail adds context for reviewing a brand’s development across markets. These views support further research rather than a forecast of future openings.
