Rock Hill, SC (RestaurantNews.com) After 25 years of smoking meats low and slow, City Barbeque is opening its doors in Rock Hill.
The new joint, located at 5001 Old York Road near Walmart Supercenter, will begin serving guests on March 2. Meats are smoked daily over hickory wood, sides are made from scratch, and desserts are prepared fresh each morning – just as they have been since the brand first got its start in 1999.
To celebrate opening day, the team will host a “Rib’n” cutting with local chamber representatives. The first 50 guests in line will receive a gift bag that includes a City Barbeque T-shirt, a bottle of signature sauce, and gift cards ranging from $5 to $250 – totaling $1,000 in giveaways.
The Rock Hill menu will feature brisket, pulled pork, ribs, turkey, and chicken, alongside classic sides like mac and cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. In addition to dine-in and carryout, the restaurant will offer delivery and full-service catering for office lunches, family gatherings, school events, and neighborhood celebrations.
“We’re excited to join the Rock Hill community,” said Mike Muldoon, president and CEO of City Barbeque. “For more than two decades, we’ve believed that great barbeque brings people together. We’re looking forward to serving our new neighbors and becoming part of the local traditions that make Rock Hill special.”
